And yet she's Rachel Maddow is still missing the 500 lb gorilla in the room.

The people I have seen showing up in opposition to the health care issue are doing so with signs they made themselves. They're driving themselves and they're getting there themselves on their own time. No-body called me on a call list to show up at my Rep's Town Hall. I did it myself. No-body paid me.

On the other hand, on the 'Free' Health Care NOW side we've seen NUMEROUS examples of people with pre-printed signs, color coordinated t-shirts (amazingly they match all over the country) and they're getting around on buses and the like. Further the politicians are providing the audiences for their own town halls and shutting out the general population from the town halls. That's hardly an example of a plural voting society.

And then there's the 500 lb gorilla in the room you're patently ignoring. George Soros. Care to explain how ANYTHING connected to his pet organization can be called grass roots? Can anything related to the Joyce Foundation, it's network... )

I'll start by repeating this:
That is not to say there are not legitimate grass-roots organizations with this stance or that the left has not created faux-organizations.

I'll continue with the following:

Over the last year I have grown more and more tired of reading your LJ. I enjoy reading my friends list quite a bit more now that I've defriended you (since our last negative exchange for which you never apologized re:the daily show). You are entitled to your opinions I just dont care about them. I am tired of reading your lectures on every subject like you were an expert. For example, when I made a post about the centrifuge you thought it necessary to inform me of the dangers of centrifuges... clearly I obviously needed this because I don't use centrifuges everyday as part of my job.

I could go on and vent and post a lot of other things but I don't see the need. You are welcome to continue to post your opinions in response to my LJ posts but I doubt I will respond to them. I wish you well and hope you have a good life.

Since discussing politics with you is impossible we'll just drop that. You can continue to bitch about Republicans, Fox news and people expressing their political views and your desire to assault them.

Though, I do find it odd that when you discuss dispassionate science, you even get excited, gesticulate wildly and scare the Chinese grad students and even comment about it. Yet some how I'm to textually gesticulative and unpleasant.

For example, when I made a post about the centrifuge you thought it necessary to inform me of the dangers of centrifuges... clearly I obviously needed this because I don't use centrifuges everyday as part of my job.
I'm sorry, you described a centrifuge that was making noise as it was spinning. You further alluded to how you hit it as a method of fixing it. I suggested that such methods with spinning devices was a bad idea. Explain to me, from the description you ( ... )

Both of you: This Really Sucks. You're both better than this.
