So for the last month I have been growing some plants under super-sterile conditions to harvest and use to start an assay I want to do a lot of stuff with. Today was harvest day. I spent an hour cutting up the roots of the plants very finely with a razor blade by hand and then placing them into a nutrient broth. Then i put on the cap of the vessel

Cool! The rzor blades are necessary to get the fine cut. Not that it worked... I see you are connected to Cornell.. did you go there and now live in Madison? Do I know you in 'real life'?
