Nov 16, 2010 18:18

[Apollo has been running around like a madman looking for his missing assistant. But he's finally found decisive evidence: her bag was left behind and her Gear wasn't working. After talking to the nurse about the Gear, he's convinced that she's gone home. It's a relief, at least. But now Apollo's left with her Pokemon, which are all ringed ( Read more... )

[He was a little ways away, probably contemplating the whole situation by himself for a while...but he eventually trots over to where Apollo and Trucy's Pokémon are, looking appropriately solemn. And exhausted. Damn that cave, and damn it well.]

...she's really gone, isn't she?

[A pause, in which he kneels down to soothe a distressed Mr. Hat Jr, rubbing his head around the red spikes.] I wish I'd gotten to know her better.

[ooc; I know Fluffy is going to Phoenix, or, more like it's going to follow Phoenix everywhere and he's going to be all "dhlfgjl", but I can't remember if it's Apollo or Phoenix that's getting Mr. Hat?]

[Apollo looks pretty depressed, though he tries to cover it up when Phoenix shows up.]

Yeah. She'll be better off at home, though. [He says that like a mantra.

Meanwhile the Pokemon crowd over a little more. Fluffy tries to crawl on Phoenix.]

[I don't think we decided. He'll take Mr. Hat if Phoenix doesn't want him/can't keep him.]

[Don't worry, Apollo, Phoenix is feeling as down as you are.

--he DOES spazz a little bit at Fluffy's advances, though. And scoots behind Mr. Hat a bit. Ew no giant spider oh god--]

I-I guess so. I just hope she's safe. And that she stays out of trouble.

[ooc; Maybe they can take care of him jointly? After all, being her starter, one of these two should probably take care of him. Phoenix's party is pretty big, though, so it might make more sense for you to take him. We'll see how it goes!]

[Fluffy is not deterred. Sorry, but it's apparently chosen you, Phoenix.]

I'm sure she is. That I can't promise, since I'm not there to keep her out of trouble.

[Ahaha, okay. It doesn't need to be ironed out immediately.]

[He nods.] I'm sure she'll be happy to be home. It's not as complicated there.

[Edgeworth has been out looking for Trucy, as well. He hadn't talked to her often, but he was worried about her. He wanders over to where Apollo is with a disappointed manner, as he and Pess haven't been able to track down even her scent, although Apollo's feed made him feel a bit relieved: she had gone home, then.. most likely.]

Are those her Pokémon, Mr. Apollo?

[He puts on his best I'm-really-fine face.]

Yeah. [Apollo pans the camera so Miles can see all of them. The Pokemon seem rather dejected.]

[Miles frowns sadly at the screen - the Pokémon look so sad!

And the video cuts off as Edgeworth arrives where Apollo is, and he arrives right after Pess, who whines sympathetically at Trucy's Pokémon. ]

It's-- it's really rude for this world to suddenly drag us here, but it's cruel the way it suddenly kicks people out as well, isn't it. [He watches the Pokémon and bends down to pat Fluffy's head.]

[The Pokemon chatter back sadly.]

It would have been nice to say good-bye since I don't know when I'll see her again.

[Given... well, given everything, Heather's pretty worried about that raggedy little gang of lawyers over there in Violet City. So when Apollo's accidental transmission hits the network, she frowns as she listens to it.]

[Then, a few minutes later so that he doesn't wind up like. Totally embarrassed over the accidental post or something, she checks in.]

... How you guys doing over there?

We're alright. Trucy just went home, so we're trying to sort things out.

... [For once, she's not going to argue the whole 'HOW LIKELY IS 'GOING HOME' VERSUS FUCKING DYING, COME ON PEOPLE DISAPPEARANCES AREN'T GOOD' thing she usually does. She doesn't want to bring them down... and she doesn't want to think about Trucy dead either, even if she didn't know her too well.]

... I hope everything goes all right.

[He's really trying not to entertain that thought. There's no evidence, he tells himself. Besides, he's heard that people go home sometimes.

Still, he's not totally at ease.]

Thanks. How are things in Goldenrod?

So she actually returned back home. I had no idea that something like that was possible so it's a great relief to hear that Trucy is safe.

[ Safe somewhere far far away and unable to pose a threat to any of Kristoph's plans now. How delightful! Unfortunately that also means that he can't use her as a possible pawn anymore. But as the old saying goes, "When life gives you lemons, use them to mindfuck someone else instead". ]

Nice to hear you were concerned, sir.

[Pissy? Nah.]

Naturally. After all I've known her for... my, has it been almost seven years already?

Though I have to say I didn't know about the two of you being close. [ Partially true. He knew Trucy was Apollo's assistant, but wasn't all this a bit too much? Well, Apollo had always been the type to overreact over something like this. ]

You wouldn't know anything about her disappearance, would you?

[Apollo doesn't completely suspect foul play, but he has to ask anyway.]
