So I'm moving into my own place next week and I will not be able to afford high-speed internet or cable tv for a few months. Now I know AOL use to give you 4 weeks or however long it was free and then you had to start paying. Where would one get an AOL CD and does one need phone service?

Isn't it funny how AOL absolutely inundates you with CDs at every turn, but then when you actually need one, you can't find it? Your best bet is probably a computer store like CompUSA. And yeah, you'll need a phone line for it to connect through.

Also, after the first month, if you call and say you want to cancel before it starts charging, they'll probably offer to give you another month or more for free. That's what I've heard, anyway.
