but there's more to it than that. and i'm sorry if i come off as an ass with this one or something, but i know that in this case there was abuse placed this kid by his peers.
there always is in these scenarios.
and yes, getting ragged on is a normal part of growing up. but these kids never know how to deal with it. either everyone takes shit too far (which doesn't surprise me), or these kids get so caught up in it that they just can't cope (which also doesn't surprise me).
it's so easy to just kill your problems, but it takes actual work to learn to cope, to be comfortable enough with yourself to get past the jokes.
and, as worthwhile as that work always ultimately is, we as americans hate that.
ps...isn't it sad how we as a country only begin to care about these mindless killing when they're happening right here in our home?
