I didn't mean "Romantic" in the sexual sense, but in the original sense of the word. I never thought about alchohol as it might parallel sex. That's something I need to think more about. Or perhaps not, as the case may be. I should be clearer about one thing: that I shared your same attitude about pushing the limits. I think that's what my roommate still does. I believe he tries to top himself every time. Now, I don't know about in sex--I've never quantified the sex act like this or thought about it in these terms--but I believe the idea of breaking through to some clearer, higher level of intoxication through alchohol is just stupid and entirely impractical, that's about what it comes down to I believe, regardless of any metaphysical question of the universe's rigid forms ( ... )
