I don't think there's a reason to panic about this storm. Although the lights appear to be reacting, we're safe from lightning in here. The reason for that, if I'm remembering science class properly, is that the tower is made entirely from glass. Glass is an insulator, meaning that the electricity won't penetrate the exterior. It's the same reason

Everything's going to be fine. They wouldn't put a tower like this out here if it couldn't withstand a storm.

And with the glass, I can't dent it either, but maybe if we could all get together we could. Or if I just had my morpher..

The walls. The walls, down in my room, they're lighting up when lightening hits.

It may be some kind of grounding mechanism, extra protection from the lightning, or a reaction from the power supply.
