One of the other teachers I work with has already got her entire new year planned. Seriously. I've seen her new schedules, grade sheets, and lesson plans etc. She has all the textbooks, seating arrangements - EVERYTHING done. It makes me sick! I haven't even thought beyond "Gee, I think I want to find a new novel study for the grade 7/8 class this year." She has seating arrangements! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ( ... )

I have read The Tale of Despereaux" and I loved it! I am going to read it at the library program. I could teach it to my 7/8 class, but I was thinking of just reading it aloud to them. I was considering it for the 5/6 class, but I think I will do Number the Stars instead since we already have a class set of those.
