I still love Lola. She is going to an avian specialist tonight, so I can be sure she is nice and healthy. Luckily there is a really good one 6 miles from my home!!! I am reading the book “Guide to a Well-Behaved Companion Parrot”, which has helpful insight into bird behavior. Lola tends to be nippy (not too hard anymore; thank god!). you can get full spectrum lightbulbs, so then you just put them in a couple lamps in your place and it works wonders. :) I love my light, it makes all the difference. Though I admit having one of those special lights that has specific time and intensity would be cool, just not in my budget now. Random thought, have you thought of color light therapy for your birds? I have been doing research on doing it for humans. It is amazing how it can help with all sorts of things. Just random thoughts....

Where do you buy those bulbs? Regular grocery stores?
So, with color light therapy do I used colored bulbs, or just specific colored things around the cage like pictures or tapestries?

both. Color can be candles, lamps, color light (such as something colored in front of the light source), decorations, etc. Just choose more of what colors you think would help. I am doing some research now, and will give you the info I get in the next couple days. :)
