I have really no clue, why on God's green earth, that I just had to be up before 7 am.  It's Saturday for pete's sake.  lol  I have been so exhausted.  I thought I would at least sleep to 9ish.  I am thinking I may just go back and lay down or lay on the couch at least and catch some more zzzzzz's.   It's really rainy and dreary here, so makes for ( Read more... )

I know that I have trouble sleeping... ummm.... a lot! Things that help me are:
1) music (particular music at a particular level... had to experiment)
2) light level (I had to get curtains that block out the light from the windows totally when I need to sleep during the day
3) scent (sometimes I can't get to sleep without incense, no clue about this one)
4) texture (I use organic sheets whenever possible because they are the easiest on my skin. High count cotton is... okay... but I've discovered that the organic is better for me)

I will have to try those things. The only thing is, I don't know if I can get it any darker in my room. I may just try to put up some blankets or something over the blinds.

I got curtains to pull over my blinds that are thick and dark. They make 'black-out' curtains for folx who need to sleep during the day. Some of them have a white backing. I got mine on sale at Tar-geah or WallyWorld as I recall. But I've also made my own using a dark duck fabric (denim works well too) backed by a heavy white fabric. Make sure that the curtains overlap and voila! But blankets do work in a pinch. BTDT!! ::grin::
