What is this life, at it's most base? To me, it's very simple.

We all have our own little rituals in this lifestyle. One of mine is a simple one, repeated many times when I have a slave. I ask her

‘What are you for?”

And she replies

“I’m for fucking, and to cherish.”

Oh the body memory of those words being said stirs me even now.

I think that this litany is the basis of dominance and submission. As a dominant, I want control. I want that slave to know that serving me, my pleasure, her being my slut, comes first and foremost. I believe that all relationships in life are sexual, although we don’t have sex with everyone. When that slave says to me

“I’m for fucking…”

She is boiled down to her basest form. She is a vessel for my lust. She exists to please my cock, to serve it, and to obey it.

But TOO MANY times I have read or heard of the D/s relationship failing at this juncture. Why does she serve? Why is she for fucking?

To be the center of a mans world. To be the object of his devotion and affection. To be cherished.

To give yourself up to someone completely, that is a HUGE step. To take that step, there must be trust. Trust that the Dominant will protect the submissive, nurture her, respect her, CHERISH her.

For is she not a gem, a flower, a beautiful soul? Is she not such a caring and giving person that she hands her free will over to the dominant?

She is giving the greatest gift one person can give another. We are OBLIGATED as Dominants to understand that, to respect it, to cherish it.

That is where many dominants fail, due to misunderstanding, due to ignorance, or because they aren’t really dominants, just bullies.

This life we choose is more complicated in many ways that a “straight” life. But at it’s essence, it really is just a slave giving herself to a dominant, and him being honored by that gift enough to do the right thing by her.
