heheheheh, I guess you would know who won the world cup, though if you don't i won't say it here :P All i can say is yesterday (the 9th here) my friends went NUTS after the game.
Don't know if i could handle the trains in Japan, one of my friends keeps insisting that i'll get felt up if i ever go 0_0
and don't spend ALL of your money :P though if i go to Japan i'll probably spend most of it in a short amount of time. To say the least you seem like your having a great time! can't wait to read your next entry!

Sounds like you are having a great time! Make sure you buy gifts for people there in addition to your packrat load. Oh, and we sent some stuff off to you finally... c/o your second host family.
We watched the WCF at a more reasonable hour than you... I was rooting for Italy because the US tied them while Clay rooted for France "because they are cool", but France seemed to be playing better in general and I was almost regretting my choice when Zidane pulled his ego stunt and I almost didn't even mind the fact that the game was decided by PKs because it was in Italy's favor.
A juggler doing dangerous things? They don't know the half of it!
Our visit to Morro Bay was blissfully un-busy. Time now to get back to work!
I had a soda from Japan once that was in a really interesting bottle with a glass ball that you had to push into the bottle to open it. Tasted like lemon-lime. I thought of you when I was in San Francisco visiting Japan town. There was a drum school with huge drums that they hit with big sticks and kind of danced. I dont know if that is typical of the Japanese or just touristy stuff. Get some sleep or your going to start spilling things again.
wow, sounds like quite an adventure... i bet you are definitely gonna do the intern application, huh?
jeez, i know you're gonna fall over, but i wish we had that PS2 here cos we wanted to set up DDR in portland. oh well!
the fest starts in one week, so i'm just a leetle bit busy with that. but i'm glad you posted, it's been a long time and i keep looking for you!
link is adding more descriptions to his words now: "big fan up there," "blue plane very fast," stuff like that. he is nuts about planes these days, so if you see any cheap japanese kids books on planes, that would be a super thing for him.
i guess the next time we hear from you, you'll be with your second host family. good luck!
