When you break up with someone and say, "let's just be friends," usually what you really mean is, "let's never see each other again." Well at least that's what I meant when I said it. Maybe you're right. It is harsh of me to drop people and move on like they never existed, but it's easier on the heartbreak if I can just forget about it. Man, I need to stop being cruel.

Hah, my cues are way too subtle half the time. I should've just said, "it was nice knowing you, now go away and never talk to me again." It just sounds so much nicer if I say, "let's just be friends," and quietly disappear from his horizon.

i never understood the whole "let's be friends" thing. trey attempted to pull that off, and i started snort-laughing/crying, because what will we do? get pizza and bring up old times? no. it'll be awkward and i'll cry a lot. i think that line is a load of shhhhhit ( ... )
