Nice day, and for once Shawn was out getting to enjoy it, and getting to do that with Lana. Since it was her birthday today, it felt like the weekend needed celebrating, and celebrating well

"I can't either," she said with a smile. "It's so beautiful!"

"Used to come out here a long time ago," he shared, leaving the picnic on the sand and wandering a bit closer to the water. "It was one of my favourite places as a kid. I... sort of went off it after everything, but-- Still amazing out here." It just took him a while to really feel comfortable coming back. He'd thought it would be unnerving revisiting, but really, still a little drawn to the place.

Lana followed, slipping her arm through his and leaning her head on his shoulder. "I can see why it could have been hard to come back here, but it really is beautiful."

"I'm glad you brought me."

"You'd think it'd be some big tourist site," he commented, looking around as he looped his arm around her back. "But I think even a few years on people are freaked by the idea something might happen again."
