It's Christmas time, so the halls are being decked out with everything the Mansion itself has not already provided - there's tinsel, and fairy lights, and red and green bunting all over the place, alongside more humanly put holly and ivy sprigs at regular intervals, and the trees are all the same size, in sizeable pots with decorations carefully

*Heiji had found his door and found something more fitting to wear. The black clothes were a little ironic, but it made sense for someone who fought shadows with shadows. His wounds were rebandaged tightly, and he's sure that as long as he takes it easy he'll be able to move around sufficiently.

So here he was, staring up at Akio hanging mistletoe, and marveling at the other decorations. It's been too long since he's been a part of a big celebration.*

Having been concentrating on fixing the latest piece up, he hadn't heard Hattori walk up until he was only a few feet away. Then, he looks down with a mischievous smile.
