It's probably no surprise to see that upon discovering the dressing room the shounen tantei have congregated in the dining hall. Genta's taken the entire tray of eel, Ayumi's got a plate of cakes and even Mitsuhiko has several plates in front of him. The kids are happily occupied in making the most of this unexpected bounty.
What is surprising is the fact that before settling down to their impromptu meal, the shounen tantei have filled the pockets of their thick and heavily padded coats -- think military issue cut down for grade-schoolers -- with as many portable foods as they can. They've also drawn all the curtains, barred the windows and overturned a couple of tables to act as barricades. Resting within arm's reach are two baseball bats, three American football style helmets and a first aid kit, and close observers might note that all three have a light firearm tucked away on them.
