You can spot the science section of the library easily -- it's the section where there are more books on the floor, in piles and spread open, than on the shelves. A few discarded plates and empty sake bottles lie among them. There's a patch of sunlight in the middle of this, curled up in which is one Kudou Shinichi who has been putting what he has learnt in the dressing so far to good use. He has acquired a pair of jeans and a shirt which he is wearing correctly (although he has eschewed shoes). He has a book over his face to shield himself from the sun and is apparently dozing. The only signs that this is not your average Kudou Shinichi (apart from the sake bottles perhaps) is the katana, sheathed and close to hand, and his choice of reading material.
