Running into not one but two 'Neath acquaintances in the strange, other-worldly Mansion was a welcome surprise, but it had Kudo thinking. If whatever power directed the vagaries of the Mansion had brought Kuroba and Namakamori to its labyrinthine depths, perhaps luck might favour him and there might be a certain other among its guests ... ?

I believe this to be one of many hallways of what has been imaginatively termed 'The Mansion.' It's exact location is unclear, but it does not seem to be the Bazaar -- or to have ties to the Bazaar.

Also, it would seem your suspicious quality is growing. Miss Mouri isn't nearly as watchful as Kudo, but she's attentive enough to know when she's being followed by all but the most skilled, and the tension in her shoulders is telling]

Her tension slips away regardless; she hardly has anything to fear from a child, and he's obviously trying to make himself known to her. She stops in her exploration of the hallway and turns to face him, shining the lantern indirectly towards him so as not to startle]

[only belatedly does she notice his clothes. Odd. She didn't think there were any children of the Orient in Fallen London. Or at least not any who would wear their traditional dress so openly on the streets. Not all citizens are particularly tolerant of other cultures]
