Last night we were lovingly snarky about Discovery for the first three quarters of the episode:
-Cornwell, yet again, was thoroughly chastised by us for being in Star Trek and apparently never having watched sci-fi.
-Damnit Culber, the crew is busy trying to capture the Red Angel. This is not a good time to discuss your personal life!
-Burnham: I will sacrifice myself so we find out what the Red Angel is.
Me: So what you're saying is the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one?
-Time crystals, because as Tilly says, everything sounds cooler with "time" in front of it.
My jaw was on the floor for that whole scene between Stamets, Culber, and Georgiou. Is there a sex dungeon on Discovery? Because Georgiou was certainly dressed for one ;)
Then we did last Friday's NYT Crossword and got mad because some of the answers were terrible. The usually unflappable
Rex Parker* even got salty about it.
LK invited me to in with her and another family on a membership to the Boston Children's Museum. $55 for each family for the year. Considering one visit for the three of us would cost almost $55, it's a good deal :)
I brought Andy home from day care yesterday since Dave was seeing kitties. The weather was great so he rode his tricycle and his fire truck. I thought he'd be too big for the firetruck and he almost is, yet he insists on riding it.
This weekend: we have tentative plans to go to another model railroad show in Wilmington. Not much else.
*We always call him
Rex Kramer because we're old and our references are out of date.
