Inside my pervy head. Jeeze. The slash pairings just keep on a coming, don’t they? So, I’ve never really been able to see Kirk/Spock, despite being brought up on Star Trek. So,
a_crystal_ball knowing my weakness for vids,
shows me this. (ETA: Huh. For some reason the link isn’t working. If you're as depraved as I and want to see it, type in youtube "Hallelujah (

Now, moving back to your awesome Buffverse knowledge, this:
I think Spike also calls Angel his sire in the Angel series one episode "In the dark" which incidently begins with a marvelous rooftop sequence whereby Spike mocks Angel about various things(found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3wDfaAa-w0 if you want to see it). Spike calls Angel his sire at all points up to the season 5 Buffy episode "Fool for Love"Really, really surprised me! From seeing Spike being so snarky towards Angel in ATS series 5, I’ve found it extremely difficult to imagine Spike ever having *any* ( ... )

I think I may pass on that one. I think I've seen something like that for Spike/Angel but that's a more adult show if you get what I mean. I'm not sure I want to see something like that for a show like Star Trek that I first watched as a kid.
I’ve found it extremely difficult to imagine Spike ever having *any* respect for Angel.
I don't think he says it with respect it's more of a "I'll stake me old sire" line.
think I’m going to dive straight into Buffy series 5! I can hear many people yelling "What is WORNG with you?! Watch them in order, damn it!" But once again, I’m in Buffverse for The Spike and The SpangelWell if I were you I'd be diving in at series 2 then, simply for the bit where Angel kisses Spike, she says temptingly*G* Okay so it's not much of a kiss and it's over in probably less than a second but it's all we have so it's best to enjoy it:) I thought the scene would have been on ( ... )

when Spike tortured Angel for the ring
Didn't Spike hire Marcus to do that for him? Presumably because he couldn't do it himself. I don't recall Spike being the type to torture his victims that was more Angelus's style. In 'School Hard' Giles explains how Spike’s nickname originated from how he liked to torture his victims with railroad spikes. I got the impression that Spike hired someone else to torture Angel because he wanted the job to be done well. He wanted to cause Angel horrific pain, so he hired an expert on torture. However, all of that said, I would prefer to think that Spike just couldn’t do it... But I fear those are my rose tinted glasses speaking there, because Spike is just... GUH! He has an extraordinarily, sexy muscled neck. Don’t you think ( ... )

Anyhoo. I was just saying to sharon23 in my comment above, of what I've repeated to you before: I fear I’m spoiled from ever fully enjoying fic produced from a fandom other than DS. My standards for reading fic have become way too high. If only I could get a DS writer to write Spike/Angel... Hmm, you know what? I’m going to search and see if any of the big name writers from DS already have. (Or maybe it’s just that I’m so madly in love with DS fandom, that no other fandom beats it now, over the last year, other pairings have come and gone, but I ( ... )

Thank you SO MUCH for the rec. You are awesome! *hugs you tight*
You know, I’m finding the concept of everyone writing Angel as Spike’s sire incredibly interesting. From a sexual perspective, it hits all of my buttons, so maybe that’s why everyone chooses to write it like that. Or maybe it’s due to what tamibrandt said over in my introductory post on the spangel comm - that Joss had intended Angel to be Spike’s sire, but changed it half way through the series because WB was not happy with the homoerotic element of two male vampires biting each other. If this is the case, then ( ... )

As for writing Angel as Spike's sire, and the reasons behind it - for me it's a combination of those two factors you mentioned, first that it was very obvious the show had intended for it to be that way and veered into other territory after things were already set up. Second is because for the purposes of their relationship, I think it adds another note of complexity if Angel is Spike's sire. It also hits my kink buttons for sexual reasons, because the sire/childe relationship between two vampires (when written as a sexual relationship) is not that far away from the daddy!kink that I already love.

Gosh, I felt so much of this in the episode 'Destiny.' I could almost feel Spike’s pain, the way in which Angel was beating him into submission, "You can take anything you want, have anything you want, but nothing is yours. Especially not her."
The scene in which Angel stands behind Drusilla, presenting her to Spike and says, "Come and take her," Spike jumps up and... Cut scene! I am fascinated as to why they chose to cut the scene there! What really happened? Did Spike go to Drusilla and fucked her while Angel held her and watched? (There must be a ton of fic dedicated to that scene!) Did they cut the scene in this way so I would think such a thing? Or did Spike attack Angel and Angel simply beat the crap out of him?
I can read a fic where they are in a loving domestic relationship one day and then another fic the next day where ( ... )

I also should have noted that the viewpoint I shared with you is a Spangel viewpoint. For Spander fans, the characterization of Spike and Angel may be slightly different.
Anyway, have fun, and if there is any way that I can help you, give me a holler. I hope you resolve your health issues and feel better soon.
