This morning I've experienced three out of my five 'I must be running on time' indicators. These would be:
1.) the sprinklers were just turning off as I walked past the really nice lawn on Hesby.
2.) the really cute girl got on at Agua Vista.
3.) the dreadlock'd gentleman reading a comic got on my other bus.

What an odd day. An ex I hadn't spoken to in years texted me today to say "hi.". I tried calling her when she changed salons several months ago (same number she texted from) but a man answered and said there was no such person at that number. I'm not sure what bugs me more. The fact that there are multiple flat screen televisions on each bus now, or the fact that they're rarely turned on.

Whenever I pass Willoughby on the bus, I can't help but think of the Twilight Zone Episode "A Stop at Willoughby." The robot voice calls out all the stops on the bus, but for that one stop I imagine a turn of the century conductor calling out, "Willoughby! Next stop, Willoughby!!" Sometimes it's hard to stay positive on the bus. Of course what seems to be a normal state for the recently car-less is probably more due to the fact that I left my bag that contains my book, headphones, budget and other such things at a bar or in a friends car.
