i flew out here to spend a few days with a friend, but i'm not entirely certain where she got off to tonight.

more specifically, i'm walking around and smoking and listening to iron and wine.

so close yet so far away. when did you get there? and have you yet gotten my christmas card?

got here saturday, leaving new years day according to the plan.

but the plan i had in mind doesn't bear much resemblance to the reality of my situation. i'm thinking of heading down to the airport to see if i can standby back home without too much hassle.

i haven't gotten it yet, sorry.
