News: I started my new comic! This is the first page. Squee, I am excited. (Also I don't think I've said "squee" in like a decade. So you KNOW I'm excited.)

But: In a personal breakthrough with realizing my artistic soul I have discovered/decided that I am SO not a colorist in any way. Sure, if I want to spend about 12 hours and lots of frustration

Will it be published? :) Online or in print? If the lineart is clean, I can definitely work with you to see if my coloring skills can compliment your art style.

Coloring to me is a LOT of work, but therapeutic and I always challenge myself to get better. Drawing is more difficult to me, actually. ;)

oh Aelice I love your colors so much TAT Do you remember when you did this silly quick thing for me? http://fav.me/dfm3l7 After what I fear, in hindsight, was a lot of annoying begging on my part? XD

I'm not planning on publishing it in print until maybe way down the line after I've drawn a lot of it and if there's actual interest in putting it in book form. If I had the time or talent I'd try to promote it at conventions but alas, see above re: I am a law student not a professional artist. >_>; But as for online publishing, yes it probably will be. I'll throw a site together soon I think.

While I would love love love to have you color it because you are so talented, my only concern is that what I had in mind for how much I wanted to pay someone is not even close to what you usually ask for commissions. Aww great job on your first page of your new comic! I can completely empathize with you about balancing work towards your career while still having a passion for art. I look forward to seeing more of your comic! :)

Haha, no worries! I think I was browsing through someone else's LJ and stumbled across yours? I saw some of your artwork that you posted and friended you. I'm relatively new to LJ and only just recently started to branch out and interact just a bit more with other LJ-users.
