attn, comcast users: want a free FilePlanet "Open Beta" key for Age of Conan??
I stumbled across this on a forum this morning... apparently Comcast customers have complementary access to the FilePlanet subscription/account, which is what you need to get an Age of Conan "Open Beta" key.
Comcast Users, Want a Beta Key from File Planet?
Here's how to do it:
1) go to >> http://gameinvasion.comcast.net/gameinvasion/setup/ <<
2) click on the “Activate Your IGN Founder’s Club Now*” link
3) Log into the Comcast account you are going to use
4) On the right side - Create new account out in user name and password, birth date, and check mark “I agree”
5) Click on submit and now your Founders account is activated
6) Click on continue and it’ll take you to your Gamespy account settings.
7) Go to www.fileplanet.com
Cool If an advertisement pops up click on ”bypass this advertisement” wording link on top of the add
9) Log into your newly created account with username and password you created in step 4 if it does not tell you in the top left hand side “Welcome xxxxxx [Logout]”
10) Click on the “Download Comrade” link on the left side of the page (or go to http://comrade.gamespy.com/)
11) Install Comrade and use same username and password you created in step 4
12) Once logged in click on the “+” sign above the “Manage” link on the program
13) Add an Ambassador so he will notify you when the page is updated / keys are released
14) It will take you to administrator link / information page in your account in fileplanet where you can add or remove the Ambassador that you want on your list by clicking the “red” add icon on the right side of the page
15) Make sure you add the Ambassador “TeamFilePlanet Ambassador” then log off of Comrade then back on and you’ll see the changed settings in your friends list.
16) When they release the new codes they will send you a message with a link to the new codes 1-2 mins before they actually release them so you have time to run to your computer to click on the link in the message to go to the page and “click” on the “enter beta here” link at the top of the page.
17) From there you should be golden. Just insert your information (usually user ID and password) and you’ll be sent to the “Key” page where they give you the key.
18) You will receive an email from fileplanet as well with download link for the program.
*note*:
On the page announcing the Keys “Update” it’ll say one of the 3 following, this is what they mean:
Distributed: All keys for that release have been taken
Confirmed: New keys have been verified and are almost ready to be distributed
Coming Soon: Keys will be released within 2 mins to 2 hours of seeing this ! (Expect a message on Comrade soon)
