Someone once told me that to relieve a chest cold, you should brew a hot cup of tea, adding the following:

lemon juice
honey to taste
a shot of bourbon

I did this. I don't know about alleviating the chest cold, but man I think I need another one.

I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving~

A shot of apple cider vinegar in tea or hot water in the morning can help keep a cold from moving into your chest. And peppermint or eucalyptus vapors (like from a very minty tea) can help to bring up the mucus once it's already in there. Annnnd... loads of garlic and onions in everything you cook can only help, since both are expectorants.

The cold originated in my chest, unfortunately. However, I've been drinking the same type of Stash Herbal tea you got me last year for Christmas religiously, and it definitely soothes the senses. It also mixes surprisingly well with lemon, honey, and bourbon. ;)

Garlic and onions are already a staple in my diet, but that is good to know; I'm on my way to beating it as I type.
