162 - I never thought I'd say this but

Tosh couldn't take it anymore. Her fingers were gripped around her mouse like if she were to let go, she'd fly off the handle. That was probably the truth. She was always calm and rational when it came to their teasing. Sure it hurt, but she was never one to say anything, and especially not do anything about it.

She was sure that they never did it on purpose. No one (not even Owen) set out with a 'Let's hurt Tosh's feelings' mindset. Probably because if you asked, they'd say she couldn't take it.

When she looked over at them, she was almost sure that they couldn't even tell she was listening to their conversation. Little Tosh with her nose stuck in a computer, or a book or something else and not paying the world outside any mind.

They didn't even do it to Ianto this much. Sure there were occasional digs about how much he just made coffee and that was it. She tried so hard not to take him for granted. But even he looked at her like a little sister.

Though now it seemed like there was something going on with Jack and Ianto, and Owen and Gwen were obviously still shagging their brains out. So where did that leave her? All alone.

The fifth wheel.

Her eyes bore into the computer screen until she heard:

"Should we ask Tosh?"

"Nah she'll just say she has work to do."

She didn't even know which one had said it. To her, it didn't really matter at this point. She threw down the mouse and got up from her seat quite lividly.

"Oh that's right, don't ask Tosh because god forbid Tosh do anything but sit around and stare at her bloody computer is that it? Just because I don't go around stitching people up, or shooting people without warning, or shagging my workmates, doesn't mean I don't have any go damn feelings. You all are too busy with your heads stuck up your arse to see anything real that's going on around you. Look at yourselves. It sickens me... it really sickens me... but Suzie was right."

Tosh bent over and grabbed up her purse and pushed past them, despite their attempts to stop her, or apologize or anything else. She didn't want to hear it or see it. She just wanted to be away.

Tomorrow she'd go back to the nice little bookworm, and they'd probably just act like it never happened.

Because if it was one thing that Tosh knew, it was that they were never going to listen to her.
