Sam didn't head back to Bela's place - he'd forgotten about dinner at this point - but went to his brother's motel room and knocked on the door loudly.

"Dean, it's me," he called through the door. The Impala was in the parking lot in front of the door, so he knew his brother was in. He just hoped that he was alone.

Dean was alone. But Sam was interrupting some crucial magic finger time, and Dean wasn't pleased by this. He knew that he would have to get up to answer the door for Sam, but -- magic fingers. Sam could wait. The quarter was probably almost up anyway.

"Just a minute. Quarter's almost done."

There would be a single banging sound against the door. Which would be Sam's head hitting it as he heard his brother's response.

Dean just grinned, waiting for the bed to stop shaking before pushing himself to his feet and making his way over to answer the door for his brother. He pulled the door open just enough to double check that it was Sam (the head bang had pretty much confirmed it, but old habits die hard), before pulling it open and giving his brother a smile.

"Hey, Sammy. How goes it in the land of the Ice Queen?"

Sam rolled his eyes, walking into the room. He shoved the box of tag-alongs against Dean's chest.

"There have been some interesting developments."

He waited until the door closed, then looked at his brother. "I met the demon that has Bela's contract."
