Now usually I'm not so partial to broadcasting my failings and defeats, however, when there's an amusing anecdote attached... I cannot help but divulge lol

I had a similar reaction to a needle when I went to the doctor to find out what the hell was making me faint and dizzy and generally needing to sleep for 11 hours a day
( ... )
Interesting that the same reaction came from someone who's generally alright with needles/stabbings/losing blood/etc. Ever since I can remember, I've had that one reaction. And it's not like there's some middle ground, where you can let the macho in you just ignore it or tough it out- or at least that's how it swoops with me. It just like, one second: needle! The next: must... hold onto... consciousness...
Interestingly, I'm seem to alright with nosebleeds. I once got smacked in the face with a softball (which, contrary to their name, aren't so soft) and almost had my nose broken. I could feel all the hot blood trickling down, but because I couldn't see it and its trickling, I think the whatever triggers the weird reaction decided it was okay.
