Look, Guy was the most fail assassin of the 12th century . . .

No, they wouldn't. Tiffany would not get along with Cindy that much. Because blond princess is blond and possibly morally suspect. If she ever found out about Guy's past, she'd just leave it because Camp karma is the same as karma elsewhere. Only more ironic.

Cindy is leery of witches and noblemen like Guy. If she ever found out about his past, the kicking will not stop until he stops twitching. Witches are cryptic and good for things like weapons, not girl talk. If they ever got along, the universe had better watch out.

Guy would be totally out of his depth with Tiffany. And he will be wary of her because she is a witch. And he will not like the fact that Cindy can hand him his ass on her bad day. Also, he fails.

So, no, they will never be roommates.

State of the Borgia in Camp?

Yep--his French mother probably made sure of it since he's the eldest son and he can read and write in both 12th century Middle English and French. This technically puts him a step up from Richard I as well. However, as the eldest son, he's not the one destined for the monastery, so he's not really bookish.

I wish you knew about Discworld so that I could ask about Cesare versus Vetinari, the death-match of manipulative tyrants . . . Um, who do your characters trust in Camp?

x_autnihil December 10 2011, 21:39:48 UTC
Cesare has different levels of trust, but I assume you mean trust-trust, like how he trusts Miguel in canon. Inner-circle-trust. Not like "I can tell you this because I've calculated that you won't do anything with it unless I xyz and this specific circumstance which I can work to keep from happening". In which case... Rue and Shaun and Spain. These are pretty much the only people he would potentially do truly dere things for, although Natsumi is getting close and the AC cast in general gets points in this category.

Spain got an automatic in because soulping and they've just grown closer since then, haha... Rue pinged him right from the start and at the time he really just needed someone to be on a more intimate level, so that timing helped a lot. Shaun... well, he hated Shaun. I'm not even really sure how that one happened. He's still a little uncomfortable with this one in part because of how it started off.

What's Vetinari? Alternatively, what kind of CR do your characters have/need?

justwannahave December 10 2011, 22:28:55 UTC
Vetinari is Patrician of Ankh-Morpork in the current timeline. He is a tyrant, but does his job so well that no-one wants to upset the oyster cart. Quote, unquote, "compared to the Patrician of Ankh, Machiavelli could not have run a whelk stall". Also trained at the Assassins Guild in his youth too. So whenever I see Cesare being manipulative with assassins, the inevitable Vetinari comparisons come up.

Cindy has lots because she's Cindy, Tiffany is trying for more normal friends because she has a lot of the supernatural and unusual already, Guy needs CR the most because he is new and dead and completely at a loss. Some positive CR would be good but he is not the friendliest face around.

Reverse?

Nowaki has lots of friendly CR, both surface-level and more intimate. And the boyfriend, so. ♥

Cesare finally got himself a network so he's pretty happy there! If anything, what he needs are more people to manipulate into doing things for him... although I can't really complain there either since he does this already anyway...

How would your characters like your trip thus far?

Cindy would be fine with it because it would be business as usual--but she'd fly in a better class and train it in first class. And jump off more buildings. She wouldn't go look at gold plates of the Austrian empire either, because palaces and life within those walls would be an unpleasant reminder--especially Empress Elizabeth née Sisi.

Tiffany would be so excited and wondering if she has the time to see everything. And what in the world is she doing there when there's work to be done at home. She would get indignant over how excessively extravagant the kings and emperors' courts were because will you look at the dinner services that never got used and is that solid silver?

Guy would have to get over freaking out on the plane and get used to trains first. Then he'd drink more than me and gape at the palaces before remembering that all of that gold plate means nothing in the end.

Do your characters like to travel and where have they been?

Nowaki likes to travel, but he doesn't get to very often. He went to New York to study for a year and took a train trip with Hiro to Hokkaido that he really enjoyed. He'd like to visit more places! Okinawa, maybe, or back to America...

Cesare would like to travel, but it's... not really an option for him! He's studying in Pisa, but after that he's going back to Rome. Travel is more of a thing that happens for work or studying, not for pleasure. Later in life he'll go to Naples, France and then on a... ah, whirlwind tour of Italy... Eventually he'll wind up in Spain! So... he technically travels a lot...!

What subjects would your characters be best at in school?

justwannahave December 12 2011, 06:23:51 UTC
Cindy would do well in sports and Home Economics *sobs* and probably fashion design and languages.

Tiffany would do annoying well in everything but sports. Competitive little minx, isn't she?

Guy would be better at languages and sports than in science and maths. He'd have archery as his extracurricular activity.

Reverse with extracurricular activites too?

Nowaki is a med student, so things that relate to that--math, science, etc. Canonically he did annoyingly well in the humanities, too, including English language. And he's good at sports! It was always more of an issue of not having the time/funds to participate in things or keep up ( ... )

From their point of view . ..

Cindy was amazed that being a pony was nearly as fun as being a wolf.

Tiffany gets good days sometimes where everything comes together and that's enough for her. She did like the harvest dance though.

Guy is beginning to find that meeting people who are not out to killl him are his favourite moments. It's easy to be satisfied when you're dead.

Your characters potential relationships with my other characters aka the ones they haven't met yet?

Nowaki would probably get along pretty well with Cindy, even if this CR wouldn't go anywhere particularly interesting or unusual. They're both good at making nice and talking to new people. :) He'd be... concerned about Guy, h-haha... He gets worried about new people in Camp in general, especially if they seem to be having problems adjusting and Guy's got a lot of catching up to do. Plus, the dead thing would make him sadfais. :( And then if he ever found about about the details of Guy's life, he'd be concerned but for a whole new set of reasons...

I'm not sure what Cesare would think of Tiffany. She'd probably make a fairly neutral impression on him. Even if she was somewhat annoying, he wouldn't see her as particularly threatening and probably wouldn't care. They might have fun being encyclopedias at each other, though.

How are Cindy and Guy in the sack?

Reply

justwannahave December 13 2011, 06:38:59 UTC
Cindy is that girl you would shag because she's open to new things and there's also well over 200 years of experience. Also her first husband was great in the sack so she's had high expectations from the start and learnt quite a few things from that experience. That said, she can fake it like a champion because of her job.

Guy can probably be a good lover if inspired--and he's never actually done it with the woman he loves, so he's never been truly challenged to make it the best experience ever before. This is why Guy is sad. He's also half French, so there's probably a lot of passion in there too.

Bonus for Tiffany--she already knows what's going on and has had very good advice from Nanny Ogg on certain matters. She would read the Kama Sutra in secret if she could find it at Camp because the extra knowledge isn't going to hurt and her boyfriend is probably also a virgin unless he cheats and he's much too nice to do that.

. . . So how many orgies has Cesare been to?

Reply

x_autnihil December 14 2011, 03:31:58 UTC
I am pretty sure that he has technically not been to any!

Okay, maybe like one. Or two.

I really don't know his daddy's sexy party schedule... Or at what age he'd start getting invited to them. He's right at the cusp of when it could happen, but he's also been in Pisa for a year.

And they weren't really orgies so much as parties thrown by Rodrigo (I don't think he'd get invited to anyone else's just yet) and featuring many courtesans and/or prostitutes who would entertain the guests and maybe split off with some of them. I mean. Some of the parties, it really sounds like people didn't split off but continued the festivities right there with everyone else, sometimes for prizes. But, again, I'm not quite sure what Cesare would be getting invited to, especially because he left Rome at 15. I'd say that he certainly knows what goes on and has probably been in at least partial attendance.

What do your characters like in a romantic partner?

Reply

justwannahave December 14 2011, 06:30:02 UTC
Cindy basically goes for people who do things and are not useless in a fight. And the complete opposite of her ex husband, basically. Not handsome and not suave is fine with her.

Tiffany goes for bookish nerds who are reliably there for her.

Guy is Marian-sexual, but spunky brunettes who are kind to him work too.

Your characters exchange lives for a day--their feelings on that?
