The real Tom Eliot is in the poems. That's where he didn't hold back.....

I agree but then again Ezra Pound called him Old Possum thinking he was a little too reserved. It's wonderful that I've gone back to Eliot which has rekindled my love in poetry of the early 20th century. It also means I'm reading Wyndham Lewis, James Joyce and (in time) Virginia Woolf. Do you have a favourite TSE poem? 4 Quartets perhaps (which one?).
