Sasuke's delivery service

I carried the flowers and shot off as quickly as I could to a secluded alley where I can perform the henge jutsu without witnesses. It looked like I wasn’t spotted. Good. I threw the damned flowers down on the alley ground and did the seals. A poof of smoke dispersed to reveal the form of Hyuuga Neji, whom I’ve chosen as my guise. I smirked. It’d ( Read more... )

"Report who?" Kakashi asked, stepping in next to the pair with his hands in his pockets and looking disinterested. He intended to get Sasuke out this situation for now. After all, he was his student.

Kakashi? Neji knew the elder jounin mainly by reputation... and, of course, as Gai-sensei's "eternal rival" in what appeared to most to be a one-sided competition.
"Kakashi-senpai," he answered respectfully, "I was referring to Sasuke-kun... he used Henge no Jutsu to transform into me, and was moving around the rooftops. However, he can't seem to come up with an explanation as to why," at this he shot an irritated glance in the Uchiha's direction, "and I thought that Hokage-sama might be better able to deal with him." Neji paused. Kakashi's casual demeanor betrayed nothing of what he was thinking at the moment... he's not going to get angry with me, is he? "But you're his teacher... would you rather I leave it up to you?"

Kakashi stood silent for a moment, and glanced at his student. Knowing Sasuke, he probably wouldn't tell him why he was doing it either, though wasn't he supposed to helping out with the festival? Decorations of some sort? This would be an interesting story to hear.

"Saa, I will deal with it." He pulled his book out from his pouch to read "But in the future, starting fights isn't the way to dealing with these things, Neji-kun." Kakashi stepped forwards to Sasuke. "Follow me." He said shortly.

Sensing Kakashi's approach, I straightened myself and put the bored scowl back on my face. Inwardly snorting at Hyuuga's threat of reporting this to the Hokage, I stood there passively, listening to their conversation. A minute later, Kakashi motioned me to follow him. Hn, what is he planning? I nodded curtly and went after him.

As the two passed out of reach, a great turtle poofs out of midair and pins Neji to the ground.

"Neeeeji." *eyes are fire* "What's this I hear about you and your kage bunshin wreaking chaos all over Konoha? I thought I taught you better about finding training locations! It is most lucky that Ino the flower-shop girl spotted you!"

Kage bunshin? Neji was momentarily confused... and then realized than anyone who had seen him and Sasuke would most likely have assumed that it was a bunshin, and not someone using Henge. And they'd also think this is completely my fault... I'd better explain myself.

"I wasn't training... and it wasn't a bunshin, it was Uchiha Sasuke using Henge no Jutsu to look like me. I didn't know it was him, so I followed. When I confronted him he refused to drop the jutsu or tell me who he was... I could only assume that he was an enemy."

Even though this was the complete truth, the accusing look in the turtle's eye made him feel as if he'd been caught doing something wrong, and was being scolded. And by a turtle, no less. This is humliating...

Ino turned a corner angrily and ran to where the chaos she had seen from her window had been brewing. Neji lay pinned under...a giant turtle for some ungodly reason and he looked nicely agitated.

"Neji~!" she nearly shrieked, risisting the urge to slap him, "For the love of my hard earned money if you're going to train do it somewhere where my shop won't get destroyed!"

Her chest burned from the run she had forced upon herself and she let out an exasperated sigh, half-glaring at the Hyuuga and half-gaping at the giant thing on top of him.

Neji sighed. And now Ino, too. I am going to murder Sasuke... as soon as this turtle gets off of me.
And then he remembered something. When he followed Sasuke onto the roof, the Uchiha had been carrying an armload of flowers... he'd seen Sasuke helping out at the Yamanaka's flower shop earlier. Perhaps...

"Ino, would you happen to know why Sasuke would transform into me and then go walking around the rooftops carrying a bunch of flowers from your shop?"

Ino's mouth fell open and she literally gaped at Neji.

"You-you're joking, Sasuke-kun wouldn't do that, he was just-"

And then realization hit her like a ton of merciless bricks. She looked at Neji. Then at the turtle. Then at the scattered flower petals here and there. And for a solid moment she said absolutely nothing.

Ino only hoped the wall she just destroyed with her very irritated fist wasn't part of her own property.

Neji never thought he would be glad to have a turtle standing on top of him... but right now it was shielding him from most of the falling pieces of wall that had been knocked loose by Ino's strike. She was quite strong, and (though he would never admit this out loud) it was a little frightening.

But at least she's not hitting me... yet.

Sasuke landed on top of the building where he and Neji were fighting. The sight that greeted him both amused and confused him. That Hyuuga was being pinned down by a turtle. Sasuke faintly recognized it as the same one that had appeared at the chuunin exam three years ago. Wasn't it related to that posing teacher of Neji? Why was it trapping the Hyuuga on the ground?

Flicking his eyes over to the side, Sasuke raised his eyebrows at the sight of Ino, who was fuming and turning purple. Deciding that it wasn't his concern, Sasuke walked towards the mess of flowers he had tossed aside earlier.

Neji stood up, once again amazed that Ino (whom he'd formerly thought of as "the skinny girl from the flower shop") had developed such incredible strength; had she pulled him out any more forcefully he might have ended up with two dislocated shoulders.
He saw that Sasuke had returned to the scene... and to pick up the flowers he had dropped, of all things. The Uchiha was also pointedly ignoring Ino, who was now directing her murderous glare exclusively at him. This guy must have a death wish...
Brushing the dirt from his clothing, Neji decided that this would be a good time to leave the area... lest he get caught up the fight that was certain to come. "Ino... I trust you can handle things from here?"

Picking up the flowers, Sasuke felt a hot glare at his back. Glancing over his shoulders, he saw Ino, who was standing there, looking murderous, her shaking fists clenched at her side. Hyuuga Neji, obviously was just released from being crushed by the turtle, was stretching and looked ready to leave.

Sasuke found it best not to say anything. He ignored the two and turned to leave the scene.

Ino cracked her knuckles and calmly walked behind Sasuke for about fifteen steps. It was on the sixteenth step when she saw nearly all of her flower arangements- once perfect, were now flawed, that she snapped.

"SASUKE~!" she yelled angrily, running toward him a kunai in her hand and an intent to kill in her eyes, "You are going to die for this!"

She also tossed one behind her, hoping it landed where Neji was standing and she yelled at him too "HYUUGA COME ON!"

Ino's nerves had been prodded too many times today.

Sasuke glanced back behind his shoulders to see Ino and Neji sprinting after him. He could understand the girl but Hyuuga? Why would he be pursuing him? Sasuke didn't think that Neji was the vindictive type. But none of that mattered. He just wanted to get this pointless mission over and done with, and it would be better off without unnecessary interference.

Hopping off a large branch, Sasuke utilized all of his speed and disappeared into the trees.

Ino threw her weight full throttle, fully intent of making the Uchiha pay for not only destroying her flowers but also having the nerve to humiliate Neji for no reason. She was moving quickly, thanks to the drug, and as she saw the black blur that was Sasuke dash through the trees she made it one forceful point to catch up.
