The chemistry of polyester rosin is interesting.

Sam and his friends are preparing to cosplay at a con in August, and I was helping Sam to manufacture some of the weapon mock-ups. We chose to do some bits in fiberglas, which has polyester rosin filling.

Please (please please please!) do note that *I* am not going there, and definitely not going to be cosplaying. I just help a little in building real-world lookalikes of the fantastical weaponry of videogame world.

And I have yet to dress up for a con myself though I have a mostly finished kimono and palns for a second costume for next year's Anime North.

I'm pretty sure he would not mind too much.
Fortunately we only do the frame and load-bearing structures here; he does the rest at his place, so I don't usually have those things here in their final state.

The cricket bat for Shaun of the dead has been the only exception so far.
