I have the privilege to say I was there in Grant Park.
I witnessed myself (and those around me) actually saying the pledge of allegiance when prompted. Marching through the closed streets on our way out, singing and smiling. The positivity was a little overwhelming, considering the layers of cynicism and doubt that have disenfranchised so many for so long (the last eight years and beyond).
