This picture started out with a vague sketch of Merlin listening to music because in the story he hears music in everything. I dove into photoshop because I wanted to play with colours when I didn't get much inspiration during sketching. Then I wanted to add Arthur too. I originally wanted to portray him like how Merlin describes his music but I didn't know how and I wanted everything in the picture to balance like the colours. So that's why there's a pink Arthur... His colours remind me of a sunset or a sunrise. I liked the contrast too, since the whole picture used bright colours.
