Thoughts?

Jan 23, 2006 22:35

Yeah, so I haven't updated in awhile.

This is the post that has no major significance. It's a new year, are there new years resolutions? Not in particular. You know, just the same ones that I couldn't keep from last year. I think this post about sums up what's happened to me in the past 31 days. There are a few things not pictured, in fact there's alot of things not pictured. But you know, pictures can only help so much.

What am I supposed to say in a public post anyways?

Let's see.... thoughts.
Thoughts on life.

I'm really excited that Ashley's coming up to see me at open mic night tomorrow. I hope we can hang out more than just that. Ashley's so freaking cool.

Speaking of, Jerry said he might play open mic night too. And Bruce'll be there. I think it'll be fun.

School is tough, but I'm focused this semester.
I'm on academic probation, and my parents haven't asked about my grades.

I saw Sarah Adcox and Taylor today. I really wish I wasn't so awkward, and had given them two a hug. Especially Sarah, she looked really beat today. Upon reading her LJ, I found out, yes this was the case.

Apparently I should try out for the Olympic Awkwardness Team, because I'm pretty good at being awkward. Even in situations where if I acted normal, it wouldn't be awkward, but for some reason, I act awkward. This case depends. So uhhhh. well. right. yeah. moving on.

Man, I really hate to say this, but I think I have a big time crush on Britni. God damn it, Britni, why'd you have to look so good.

So yeah, the Of Montreal show was great, and you can see pics from that later on down. It was so good to see Mister Leigh Awesome Aucoin. I hope that he and Pumpkin go places. Places that can satiate his hunger for waffles and omelettes. But yeah, speaking of, soooo many people went to the Of Montreal show. It should've been more, but with a group of like 12 people, that was really fun.

Concerts really are a blast. I can't wait to see (and hopefully meet) Feist on the 4th. That's gonna be exciting. I even splurged a little and got a really nice hotel room for my stay. I'm definitely hitting up Little Five Points, Whole Foods, some record shops, and Ikea. Di, I hope you can still come along. Even if you don't see Feist, you should go see your man, and hopefully show me, Blayne, and May your knowledge of Atlanta.

So yeah Feist on the 4th. And then today, I paid $150 for 4 tickets to go see Belle and Sebastian and the New Pornographers. One is mine, one is Brian's, and one is Eric's. That means there's one left, if anyone's interested in going, it'd be $38 for the ticket, and a little bit for gas.

Oh! And then after that, there's Stereolab! Far too much excitement.

You know, I'll just continue with the post. The pictures are out of order, because some are mine, some are my brother's, but I did my best to put them in some semblence of chronological order.

So over the break, I went to Washington D.C./Virginia.

Before flying, I always start out my trip with a sandwich from the makers of the McChurger, this is either called the McGriffin, or as I call it, the McGruffin.

On the plane.

Hugh at the Train Station. He must be explaining something to me.

Aeropuerto. Man my brother is so much better looking than I am. Damn you genetics. I think he's actually starting to grow a moustache. It's so weird how old he's getting to be. But do you see what I mean? The order's out of whack. How the hell do you go from the airplane to the train station back to the airport?

We actually got there too late, and weren't allowed into the permanent exhibit, but we did go to this special exhibition they had on how the Nazis handled the mentally handicapped, and tried to geneticize (is that a real word?) the arian race.

I later discovered photography was prohibited in the exhibit.
