Went to the impound today. My laptop is still there. In fact, I'm using it now. Also found my digital camera, and used it to take pictures of my car. You can see them behind the cut. As well as pictures from when I went to see Helio Sequence and Rogue Wave. (Which by the way was allright. Helio Sequence fecking blew me away, Rogue Wave was allright ( Read more... )

Wow. It doesn't look like they hit anyone so much as they got really, *really* stupid and forgot how SUVs handle. I'm really surprised there's so much roof damage though, compared to the rest of the car ( ... )

I took my stereo out. That's why it looks jacked. Also, I took my plate off, to keep for nostalgia, I suppose. Yeah, I got to my car fast enough before they could steal the stuff. I got most everything out of it. And I have a feeling JPD won't give a damn about dusting my car. I'm guessing that they'd do it on account of the people who were harmed, rather than my car being stolen, etc. There's just no justice that can be sought that'd give me any money though. I've been hit pretty hard, I guess.

My first impression from those pictures is that .. wow the front of the car seemed a lot better than the top. How'd the top of it get so hurt?

Then I thought about the other pictures, where some car doors were also dented, and that one tire that was flat and seemed way out of place.

Did they steal your CD/stereo system, or did you salvage that already?

Is the engine fine? Rather, can any part of the car be sold for parts?

I'm returning to Starkville on Sunday. Think you'll be free for a half hour late morning for coffee or something?
