Outlook... Not So Good.

Last night we had a meeting with the doctors, and they went through my uncles condition, and after being asked directly they told us he has at most months to live. Then after we left the room with my uncle they told us, it is more than likely weeks, but they have to overestimate as they can never really be sure just how long

I'd just like to say that you're so much a better person than I am.. my dad was always horribly sick and permanantly nursing home and hospital ridden, i dont know how many times we were told he wouldnt live through the night.. but there came a point where instead of caring, i hated him for all the hell and trauma that he'd been putting the rest of the family through, even though it wasnt his fault.. so when he died I hadn't seen him for almost a year.. and i didnt even cry until the funeral when mum absolutely fell to pieces.. how horrible does that sound? ._. how much you're feeling for your uncle and the care you've given him over the past weeks is just amazing.. you're an angel :)

It's awful that you, your family, and your uncle are all having to go through such an enduring time, and that no-one can tell you how long it's going to stretch on for. I had no idea you were so involved, and so close to your aunt when she passed away too. I've only been through this kind of thing with my Grandma. But even then, it was Mum and her sisters who bore most of the trauma involved with caring for her, and watching her deteriorate. It takes a very strong person like yourself to support their family as willingly, and diligently as you do, Juz. Get some rest, and know that we're all thinking of you.
