The Scientology mention made me laugh since Scientologists are so inherently anti-psychoanalysis. Sorry people in therapy have been mean to you. Clearly they should talk to their therapists about the desire to fix other people.

I'm with Dave. The point of therapy isn't to spawn a microtherapist like a minion in the world.

aw.

i remember being like that when i first started therapy and then ramping it up when i started school for BEING a therapist. now, i try to refrain from such things - unless i'm doing it humorously. so, i reserve the right to make fun of you through the lens of psychology, because i have no other lens through which to make fun of people, whereas other people can demonstrate searing wit regardless, i can only joke about people's oedipal issues and momma's boy problems.

:P

jk.

sort of.

mwa.

I have, admittedly, sat friends down and said "maybe you should talk to someone". However, in every case, the friend was acting in a self-destructive manner, and this was the best way I knew of to help them.
