The recent movement of old school folks making the effort to update more regularly reminded me that I almost never update anymore. What was once an almost-daily ritual has turned into a 'check my friends page almost daily but never say shit' ritual ( Read more... )

Right back atcha. Also, you, me, in touch, more often. That is happening this year. It's really kinda bullshit on both our parts that it hasn't been happening all along.

i've been curious, but have not yet bothered to ask anyone...

how did this poet house thing get started? Did someone buy a house and decide to fill it with artists? Is it owned by a non profit? Is it just that a bunch of artists decided to rent a house together?

I'm curious in part because I'm jealous, partly because I'm starting to consider house buying and partly becaue of some other things.

Anyway, any info you could provide would be helpful in my research.

I've been on this site since the Clinton Administration. I have two journals here, this guy, which I don't update as often as I once did (but you can see my MFA thesis work at the very beginning of the journal), and zenmech, where I post freewriting, drafts and revisions, and which has been transformed of late by that "legit poet house" of which you speak. Take your pick, or don't, it's cool, as long as we stop talking about the weather!
