In which I romanticize the reading of children's books

I'm due at work in several minutes, so I'll make this as brief as is logical. Book 7 of a particular children's series came out at midnight last night, and here it is, some 8 and a half hours later, and I still haven't picked it up. Far from being due congratulations on my restraint, I am avoiding this book like the plague for personal reasons.
