radioparadise.com is getting me through.  Such an awesome variety of music.  Thankyoudear.

Such a long day, so tired.  I should go to bed, but I'm still sitting here typing and doing other work.

Running is mind over matter.  If I don't know how far I've gone, I don't feel the need to stop.  A note for the future.

My problem, not with running but walking, is it doesn't matter how far I've gone...can I make it back. I'm always concerned I'll crap out and not be able to make it back.

I used to feel that way too. At this point, I'm measuring my distance v. time more than anything. I know I have to run about 3.1 miles to get myself trained for this race and I know about how long I want to be out (usually an hour fits into my day, my workout turns into 1.5 with stretching and shower).

There are websites that you can map out your path with (mapmywalk and runkeeper being the two that I've explored). Runkeeper also let's you track how you're doing time and distance wise (if you care).

The thing is that it might take awhile, but you'll always get back. Take a couple extra dollars in case you need to stop for an extra bottle of water (advice from a list of running tips I found) and you'll make it! Your legs and your brain still work :)
