I was scrolling thru most recent postings - found your site w/this post. While I am not in your situation, my heart feels for you - and it reminded me of all the stories my late Gma used to tell me of when my Grpa was in WW2 & she was here waiting on him. They were married over 56 yrs - she saved ALL the letters he sent her - and vice versa - and she said it was the single hardest time of her life/their relationship. She said just what this posting said - it bonded all of the wives/girlfriends/gals together. She said it made her stronger & more appreciative for everything in life. She loved him deeply until her death at age 85 5yrs ago. I just read this, thought of her and wished you some of her good luck, courage & strength....sounds like you have it already.. She used to say how jealous she was of all the other gals and their husbands who weren't there - she cried alot. She also said it bonded her marriage more than she imagined it could. I don't know how you feel exactly but I can imagine....I support you and all the gals as I do ( ... )

"We find ourselves swelling with pride everytime we hear the National Anthem or the Star Spangled Banner"

I thought our National Anthem is the Star Spangled Banner?

I hope all is well...and safe and sound...and that Life takes care of you.

Cheers
