That was a weird bit of characterization for me. For me it wasn't so much weird as indication of Lois inner conflict. Lois can be a complainer -- if things aren't going her way everybody knows it. I think she's complaining because despite this being her dream job she'd rather be back in Metropolis with Clark and the complaints perhaps a little bit of self sabotage to get Perry to threaten to send her back. At least that's how I took it.
Oliver's tirades are so much more tolerable when people more or less tell him to shut it. I think back to when Oliver approved to Lois calling him a jackass and think in his own twisted way I think Oliver kind of wants people to tell him to shove it. Maybe that's why he's so obnoxious all the time.
I like reviews with visual aides. They are so much more fun. I would it too, but I'm afraid my reviews would begin to resemble War and Peace.
Cat was such a pleasant surprise for me. I liked the actress from Crossfire, so I was bummed that they decided to make a change. But I think she really worked.
Well, to be fair, Chloe broke up with Oliver via an email that read like it was written by a 15 year old fanfic'er. That should count for something.
I thought Tess was still showing her mojo. But, if she's hoping to gain the confidence of Clark, she's going to have to curb her naughtier and snarkier side until he's feeling a bit more relaxed with her. Or, in any words, I think she's treading carefully around CK.

The whole tweeting by TPTB about Chloe purposefully leaving behind clues for Oliver kind of negates the whole stupid letter, doesn't it? Good grief, what a mess. Why not put the clues in the actual letter instead of making it so ridiculously schmaltzy?
I thought Tess was still showing her mojo. I guess my problem with Tess was taking the Chloe letter at all seriously and what seemed like a sudden inexplicable reverence for Lois. Maybe I'd just like to have somebody on the show who isn't on the Clark and Lois forevah bandwagon.
At this point, I expect just about every character to pimp Clois in some fashion. I just think the SV writers don't know any other way. They need to TELL you a lot what they want you to think.
//When she shows off some of her finer work. "Mean Arrow: Hero destroys playground" I like her immediately. Maybe because it takes me back to Lois' Inquisitor articles about the Green Arrow.//
Heh, those were the best, weren't they. Suddenly I'm taken back to all our 'debates' on that 'ol friendly theory board all those years ago--- ;-)
//I'm not sure if Lois knew who Carter was from the get go or not. Presumably she could have known him from writing about the Justice Society last year but she doesn't let on.//
Just one of the several illogical aspects of the Carter/Lois scenes.
//But it's a really funny scene.//
I thought so too. Probably my favorite moment of the ep, and that's odd considering how Oliver continues to moreorless work my last nerve.
