I enjoyed Finale even though it started pretty slow. I'll eventually have re-cap of it but in the meantime try to enjoy this little stroll down memory lane with perhaps the most disappointing episode of the season. ( Lois, what are you saying? )
Depending on one's point of view you're either really lucky or really missing out, a couple of quotes from the linked article sum up Silver Age pretty well:
Today we once again venture forth into the deepest depths of insanity known as 'the Silver Age' - when comics cost 12 cents, Superman could juggle planets with his pinky finger, and stories didn't have to follow anything like "logic" or "natural plot development!" and Depending on who you ask, either a magical time when comic books were wonderful and everyone read them, or a historical relic where everything was childish, pointless, and/or ludicrous.

I'm not sure what "Silver Age Stupid" is, but if it was anything like this episode, remind me often to avoid it. LOL

The Bow of Orion plot really went nowhere, huh?
I like your explanation for Tess's non-intervention policy!
