I am not materialistic, at least I don't think so. I buy almost all my pants at goodwill, I shop at target for most of my shirts. I don't have a job where I have to dress up so I don't have many dress up things at all. I wear my shoes until they are worn through, but have had to spend a little money on shoes since my feet have been horrible ( Read more... )

Hm. Maybe a couple of really comfortable clothing items. (My current favorite is "sport knit" corduroy pants from Land's End -- they come in a really wide array of shapes and sizes and are oh so comfortable!) Or I've been looking at the "Aerogrow" systems on amazon.com, which are on super sale right now. It's an indoor plant growing system, where you add seeds, fertilizer and water, and then press a button and a computer takes care of growing the plants for you. They claim that the plants grow super-quickly, three times faster than if you grow them outdoors. I don't know if you're into gardening at all, so I don't know if this would interest you at all, but I adore the idea of fresh, homegrown veggies or herbs in the middle of winter. The reviews on Amazon are *so* positive that I wonder if Aerogrow's employees wrote them -- it really sounds too good to be true. Also at this time of year I'm admiring seeds in seed catalogs. But again I don't know if you're into gardening, so I don't know if that's something that would ( ... )
