The title is stolen from my wife and one of the foes in this weekend's Inspectres game.  We dropped off the kids and headed up to rural Connecticut for a weekend filled with friends, dogs, some gaming, and alcohol.  It was once again a remind of how much it sucks living far away from most of the OW people.  The game was a bit disjointed as it got ( Read more... )

I encourage you to always try new stuff. As my father used to opine, the more cars you drive the better driver you become. He also maintained it was true for dating, and I'd say it's equally true of GMing. So long as you remain aware of what you liked and didn't like about a game, you'll keep stretching your boundaries.

Besides, if you feel like you're becoming a one trick pony, it's time to try new stuff.

I'd suggest something equally indie and interactive like Swashbucklers of the Seven Seas, or a slightly more rules heavy game like Savage World's pulp genre. I have these if you want to borrow them (or anything else) in March.

You know what? Bring the Seven Skies thing and if it grabs me I'll order a copy. I could always run both games as well. If you're not running and Peg's running games for the kids the only thing I'll really want to play is Dogs in the Vineyard, if Max is running it, so I can fill a lot of slots.
