kinda disappointed in myself.

I'm in the process of making a Twilight fanmix. I resisted the whole twatlight franchise up until last week when I decided I'd watch the movie for my media analysis essay. Then I downloaded the soundtrack and the score. And then all the books. *whimper ( Read more... )

It's okay. I'm morbidly fascinated by the Twilight phenomena myself. I've seen the movie but I'll never actually read the books because I've read samples of SMeyer's prose and... ew, no thanks. Also, I may or may not have a poster of Bella and Edward right after he saves her from the VAN SMASH OF DOOOOOOOOOM where it's all close up and you can see the little veins through Edward's skin and Bella has her iPod earbuds in. Yeah. And if I have that on my wall, it was totally a gag gift and I was only going along with the joke by hanging it.

In conclusion: I'm going to the New Moon midnight showing.

Oh, the books are truely awful. I wrote better than S.Meyer in primary school. I mean, she uses waaaay too many commas, repeats words too often, repeats entire concepts too often etc etc. It honestly reads like fanfiction to me - but I love a bit of trashy fanfiction so maybe that's why I keep reading.

If anything, they make me appreciate good writing and character development.

I'd love to go to the New Moon midnight showing :) I love the feeling of midnight premiers - like you're part of a cult. But I don't know if I could cope with all the squeals.
