[PUBLIC] Not feeling the comics love
Marvel has just gone and killed one of my favorite characters. And the only character who's title I'm still pulling (...aside from Children's Crusade, but who counts those "every-other-month" books, really?). So, okay, fine. Fuck you, Marvel. I will happily put that money to better use

I can only guess they are pretty sure of themselves.
My comic book shop guy is *really* worried and doens't think it'll bring him new costumers, esp as they seem to be pushing the digital.
It's one thing to be erked by DC, but this poor guys living is at stake, so I really hope this works.
And yeaaahh I'm worried because I've got so few DC characters I'm attached to, I'd hate to see one of the few I like get screwed, but time will tell.
Who did Marvel kill? Please tell me you just mean Rikki and there's not been someone else?
I know they are planning to kill someone major in Fear Itself (and dgkjhsal;fhasdlfhasd seriously death has lost all impact as it happens too much)and I will just.. be not happy if it's Bucky >.>

And while I'm a little interested in the digital comics release at the same time and can see where the LCS have the right to worry, I don't think it's too much of a worry. Then again, it also reminds me of the whole ebook vs paper book inanity going on right now in the publishing world. Bookstores are buckling, yes, and both publishers and shops are feeling the problem because people are just STUPID and can't figure out how to deal with the digital age. But there will ALWAYS be people (like me) who prefer the paper in their hands. I like having digital backups, but I also buy the physical copies.
BUT MY BOYS. >| My boooooys. I'm hoping that because Aquaman is being rebooted that GARTH is going to get another shot, and not that other new Aqualad. Because, dude, LAME. But. Damian. I'm terrified for my snarky little Bat brat!

I'm kinda ok with Garth being a Prince of Ambessador and not as major a character and letting Kaldur to the adventuring.
Mostly because no one seem sto know what to do with Garth unless it's in the Atlantis based arcs, IMHO. I just want him not dead :( Dead is hard to get around for my fanfics based on current Dick and Damian stuffs- unless I want to write the Amazing Adventures of Zombie Garth.

And yeah, I'll agree that Garth can be prince and Kaldur can do the other stuff. So long as Garth and Dick get to be cute and on the same team together.
No, I haven't heard anything about Damian. D: Why, should I be looking for bad news? :x I only know about a solicit where they take on Jason again (or something happens with Jason). But Damian has been popping up all over and I love it and omg, they can't get rid of him!! DDDD:

For the retconned out of existence part, I do worry about both Kon and Damian, since their existence is kind of tied into Bruce and Clark's stories.
My main worry is for two pretty minor Birds of Prey characters, though. It only took what, sixty issues, for Savant and Creote to acknowledge their feelings, and now, with their creator and writer off the book and the reboot coming, they're probably going to disappear entirely. That'll teach me to get emotionally invested, I guess. *sighs*
