It's good you talked to your doctor though the news wasn't brilliant. Fingers crossed for you that it turns out to be a benign growth that doesn't recur.

I don't know if an anecdotal story will help at all, but that sounds a whole lot like a tumour my aunt had years ago, and they removed it (through her nose!) and she's been fine for 30+ years since.

I hope you get to see the specialist fast.
