2006's Things To Do List

This is going to be a very important year for me, so I'm going make a list of things to do here and I expect it will evolve several times throughout the year. I'll cut it for length for my friendslist, but I'd still love to hear your opinions, on this post and any others that you feel like you want to or need to.


  • Join Weight Watchers this Wednesday, 1/4/06
  • Have my friend Sara take my measurements, starting 1/4/06, body measurements, and she's going to take my picture each week with her digital camera, and I'm going to have her trace my body shape on a big piece of material.
  • Write in LJ more often
  • See a therapist to help me with the psychological aspects of losing weight and dealing with my FMS
  • See my massage therapist a lot more often this year
  • Start exercising again, I've got one of those TaeBo cardio DVD's, so we'll start with that, and keep looking until I find stuff I like and want to keep doing
  • Buy a bicycle. Yep! I really miss having one, and where I'm living now, I could ride to work in the warm months, and I could also ride to the stores and the malls around here
  • Learn how to pamper myself, first thing I'm doing is setting up an appointment 2 weeks after I've joined WW and I'm getting my hair cut and colored. Then I'm going to use the return visits as rewards.
  • Start writing in a food journal, not just the WW points tracker. This task is something that appeals to me not at all. I know it will be the hardest to do, but I think I'll learn a lot too.
  • Buy a new car with my profit sharing. I really need a new car that doesn't have a foot in the grave, so YAY for profit-sharing!!
  • Lose about 100-110 pounds. I know this is a goal that may take more than one year to do.
  • Find a doctor or pain center that understands that I need pain meds now, so that I can start exercising enough to be able to stop taking not only the pain meds, but also as many of the others I'm on right now.
  • To obtain some sort of sofa/loveseat type thing instead of the broken metal futon that we have now

Now I need to sleep, since I'm drifting off here.
